Organ Transplantation
Organ transplantation has been progressively accepted as the treatment for a number of health conditions resulting due to failure of organs. It is a surgical process that involves replacing a diseased or non-functional organ with a healthy donor organ.
All transplant recipients will be prescribed Immunosuppressants - medication that would prevent the body from rejecting the newly transplanted organ, which have to be taken every day without fail. Transplant recipients will have to strictly adhere to the diet, exercise, medications and follow ups as prescribed to stay healthy without developing complications.
